Kolkata, 17-12-2022: Mother Teresa, Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was born on 26th august 1910, at 14 Pop Kochina Street, at what is now main square Macedonia. She was the youngest child in the family. She had the oldest sister Aga and an older brother Lazar. Aga was born in 1904, and Lazar in 1907.

Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, MC, better known as Mother Teresa, was an Indian-Albanian Catholic nun who, in 1950, founded the Missionaries of Charity. Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu was born in Skopje—at the time, part of the Ottoman Empire.

At the age of twelve, she felt strongly the call of God. She knew she had to be a missionary to spread the love of Christ. At the age of eighteen, she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India.

An unlikely friendship blossomed between an English princess and an elderly Roman Catholic nun when Princess Diana met Mother Teresa. They met for the first time in February 1992, after Diana flew to Rome to see the 82-year-old missionary, who had been too ill to attend their scheduled meeting in Calcutta.

Doctors confirmed that the tumor disappeared overnight. In a similar case, a man with a brain tumor recovered after touching a relic of Mother Teresa. Before surgery, the man woke up from a coma and his tumor had vanished. Both of these miracles were mentioned when Mother Teresa became a Saint in 2016.

Mother Teresa took her last breath on the 5th of September, 1997. Her death was a personal loss to every Indian as she gave her life to the people. Until her very last days, she kept helping the 'poorest of the poor. She made the world believe that those who are serving the poor are serving God.
