Today again an earthquake in Meghalaya measuring Body Wave Magnitude 4.30 near Village Kursapakhri Pt-I, 11KM SE of Lakhipur, India on Friday 09 Jul 2021.
An earthquake of 4.30 magnitude struck Meghalaya/Assam on Friday, the tremors of which were felt in Meghalaya apart from neighboring Assam and the south parts of Bhutan. The National Center for Seismology reported as per the earthquake reporter app that the quake was recorded at 1:16:23pm, with its epicenter at Kursapakhri Pt-I, AS, India at a depth of 10.00 km and distance 236 km from east Tezpur, Assam, location 25.969°N, 90.399°E in Meghalaya/Assam.
Parts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Gaibandha, Bogura, and Rajshahi, also felt the jolt, local media reported.
There
was no immediate report of any injury to anyone or damage to any property,
officials said.
