10 Jul 2021: Another earthquake of 3.10 magnitude struck at village Singri of Assam on Saturday morning, the tremors of which were felt in Assam apart from neighboring Meghalaya and northern parts of West Bengal. The National Center for Seismology reported as per earthquake application that the quake was recorded at 7:31:12am, with its epicenter at Singri in northern Assam at a depth of 17.00 km and a distance of 24 km from Misamary, location 26.620°N, 92.450°E in Assam (Sonitpur District).
In
Northern Assam districts, including Guwahati and Arunachal Pradesh, people came out of
their homes in panic. Tremors of the earthquake have also been felt in the
northern districts of Nagaland including Dimapur.
There
was no immediate report of any injury to anyone or damage to any property,
officials said.
