May 9, 2021: Tezpur Chowk Bazaar devastating Fire burns on 08/05/2021 Saturday. A fire burns caused by a suspected electric short-circuit gutted around hundred-a-dozen shops at the Tezpur Chowk Bazaar commercial hub place on Saturday.

If timely action by the fire department which reduced the damage to a great extent. Because fire burns was seen burning very fast, not corning by fired. 

The damage caused by the fire burns could not be immediately estimated. But, sources in Chowk Market said the damage was immense property damaged. Property worth crores of rupees was reportedly damaged during the burns.  They are not yet to say the extent of the fired.
