May 1, 2021: fire in gujarat, 12 patients were killed in a massive fire at Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch at 12.30 pm on Friday. Many patients have been admitted to another hospital, some of whom are in critical condition. This is expected to increase the death toll.

“According to primary information, probably 12 people have been killed in the incident of fire at Patel Welfare Hospital dedicated COVID-19 care centre at 12:30 pm in Bharuch,” Police Said.
According to preliminary information, Patel Welfare Hospital was authorized to covid patients where many infected patients were undergoing treatment.
The fire broke out at Patel Welfare Hospital around 12.30pm and engulfed the fast ICU. Fire brigade vehicles then arrived as soon as the fire was reported and brought it under control after a few hours.
The cause of the fire in the hospital is said to be a short circuit. Rescue and relief operations continue till morning, fire in gujarat.
