Biswajit Daimary is an Indian politician who represents Assam in Rajya Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first elected as Member of Assam Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2006. Later elected as Member of Parliament to Rajya Sabha from 2008 to 2014. He was elected for second term from 2014 to 2020 as a member of Bodoland People's Front and from 2021 as a member of the BJP. In November 2020, Daimary left BPF to join Bhartiya Janta Party before election Bodoland Territorial Council elections. On 21 November 2020, Daimary resigned from the Rajya Sabha. While the current deputy CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has been fielded from Jalukbari Assembly constituency.
